D&D Audit

Freight audit

Freight invoice audit: your carrier's invoice checked against your own contract

Almost every company checks whether the invoice arithmetic is correct. Almost none check whether the rate applied is the one actually agreed. That's the one thing we actually check.

How it works

What you should honestly know

The hardest part isn't the comparison itself, but entering the rate agreement for the first time — Excel files differ for every carrier, sometimes with footnotes that change the logic. The first time is partly manual work. Anyone promising fully automatic rate-contract reading on the first try is promising something no one has done well yet.

Pricing

Two modes: Historic audit (already paid invoices) — 25% of the amount recovered or credited, capped at €5,000 per case, minimum €100 to bill. Ongoing control (before payment) — €79/month, also covers driver detention detection.

Frequently asked questions

How fast do I get a result after the first upload?

Entering the rate agreement for the first time takes the longest, since it's partly manual. After that, checking each invoice is nearly instant.

Can I start with a historic audit and later move to ongoing control?

Yes, that's the usual path — most clients start with a historic audit to see if there's anything worth checking at all, and only then move to a subscription.

What happens if my rate agreement is complex (multiple riders, footnotes)?

The first time, we enter it together with you manually. More complex agreements take longer, but that doesn't change the accuracy of the final check.

Are all seven error types checked automatically?

Yes, once the rate agreement is entered in structured form — lane, weight bracket, base rate, fuel surcharge formula, allowed accessorials. Duplicate and currency errors are checked independently of the rate data.
