About

Who is behind Demurrit

Demurrit is owned and operated by UAB NVGroup — a company founded in Lithuania in 1997 and still operating today. It is led by Vytautas Natys.

We don't mention the company's age as a reputation badge. In the gain-share model, we take on the financial risk, but you take on the time: from filing a claim to the funds being returned takes 60–180 days. A legal entity has to exist for that whole time to see the process through, correspond with the carrier, and have someone to answer to if the dispute goes to court. It's the first question a finance manager asks, and we answer it up front.

What we rely on

Demurrit doesn't work by experience-based judgment, but by repeatable verification. Container demurrage, freight invoice and customs errors are systemic and recurring, so they can be detected by rules rather than intuition. Every finding comes with a full calculation basis and references to specific places in your documents — you can verify it yourself, without us.

What we don't do

We're not a law firm and we don't give legal opinions. Cargo Intelligence modules extract data and flag discrepancies, but they don't confirm a document's legal status, don't estimate amounts, and don't file claims on your behalf. Within the audit service we prepare a claim pack: the report in our name and a claim template in YOUR name, which does not mention Demurrit. You file the claim with the carrier yourself — we do not assert anyone else's claim.

Where your documents are stored

In Germany and Austria, across three technically separate service providers: netcup GmbH (application, database) and Hetzner Online GmbH (document storage), both in Nuremberg, and Akenes SA/Exoscale (encrypted backups, Vienna). For document recognition we use Anthropic PBC (USA) under the EU standard contractual clauses. The data processing agreement and the full list of subprocessors are published openly — you can read them before you sign anything.

Where we work

Demurrit operates across the European Union, with our core markets being the Baltic states, Poland, the DACH region, and Nordic Europe. The audit service isn't tied to geography: the claim is filed against the carrier under your own contract, so we can review an invoice from any port or terminal. Cargo Intelligence has no geographic restrictions at all — the modules work with document formats, not locations. The platform, reports, and correspondence are available in ten languages.
