Audit
What you get: the audit report and a claim ready to send
An audit result is not a list of rows. It is two documents: a report for you, showing every finding with its calculation and its source, and a claim template in your name, ready to sign and send.
The audit report
For every finding — the item, the period, the amount invoiced, the correct amount and the difference. With each one: a reference to the specific contract or tariff clause, a pointer to the place in the document the data came from, and the full calculation with every input.
The calculation is set out so that a third party can repeat it — your accountant, your auditor, or the carrier itself. We do not present a result without its inputs.
A separate section states what we did not check: what data was missing, which countries or ports are not covered, which checks were not performed and why. A report without that section is not issued.
The claim template
A finished letter in the recipient's language, with the facts, the demand and the list of enclosures.
The letter is written in your name. Demurrit is not mentioned in it, because we do not file claims in your name — you sign it and send it yourself.
Where the addressee is an authority — a road-toll refund, for example — an application pack is prepared instead, in the form that authority requires.
You also receive the template in editable form (DOCX), because it is your document — you may amend it before sending.
Sources and versions
Every tariff or norm carries its version, its period of validity, its source and the date it was captured. That matters on the day the other side answers that the tariff was different.
An issued report is never altered. When new data appears, a new version is issued with a reference to the previous one — because you have already sent the first.
Sample
Below is a full sample pack. The data in it is fictional: the company, the containers and the amounts match no real client. Every page of the sample is marked, so that it can never be mistaken for a real report.
When there is no claim template
Not every audit ends in a letter to the other side, and that is a boundary, not a shortcoming.
Payment terms analysis comes with no claim template at all. The addressee would be your own customer, and we never approach your customers — you receive the report only.
Road toll audit produces an application to the authority (BALM) instead of a claim. That is a different kind of document, with its own form and deadlines.
Terminal invoice audit produces two letters rather than one: the invoices were issued by different legal entities — the terminal and the carrier — and each answers only for its own.
What these documents are not
There is no legal opinion. The report states what does not match the tariff or the contract; it does not assess your prospects in court.
There is no claim filed in your name. We do not file one — not with the carrier, not with the terminal, not with an authority. You sign the letter and you send it.
There is no amount we cannot substantiate. A finding that lacks data, or whose source is unverified, goes into the “needs review” category and is not counted towards the amount claimed.
